Knit Lab is a technique class where we will focus on one topic. This is a demonstration and hands on class.
Bring your basic knitting supplies kit – scissors, pencil, note pad, darning needle, crochet hook or Fix It Tool, stitch holders, removable stitch markers, etc.
Description: Learn a variety of ways to attach a new yarn to your work
Class Type: Demonstration and hands on
Prerequisites: Know how to knit and purl;
can tell the difference between the RS/WS of work;
Techniques: Knot at the Edge; Russian Join; Splicing Yarn; Weaving in as you go.
Supply List: Worsted Weight yarn in medium to light color
#US 8 needles circ or dpn whichever style you have
scissors, paper, and pencil for taking notes
Homework/Pre-work: 1 swatch which will be used in class, it is nice to have extras if you have time to make them
Cast on 20 stitches. Work in Stockinette Stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) until work measures 2 inches from cast on edge, end having completed a WS row.
DO NOT CUT the yarn.
